The answer for this question is more simple than you may think. Do you need carbs to rebuild cells? Do you need carbs to produce hormones? Do you truly need carbs to function? The answer is an astounding NO. Carbs are fuel. Pure and simple! 1g carbohydrate= 4 calories. Therefore, 200g carbs= 800 calories. An intense weight training session requires only 200 total calories.
